Meet Your Facilitators
Elli Yokochi, MS, RYT - 250
Elli has been practicing yoga for over 26 years, teaching yoga for 11 years and teaching yin yoga for over 10 years. She completed her 200 hour power vinyasa training at FlyDog Yoga in Charlottesville, VA in 2015, and her 50 hour Yin training with Pam Chang in Seattle, WA.
As a naturally very "yang" person for most of her life, her healing journey, recovering from traumatic brain injuries and adrenal fatigue, forced her to slow down. She found yin to be a profound healing practice, along with meditation, and receiving multiple healing modalities. Elli had already completed a 2 year intensive energy healer's training and a year of shamanic training, prior to completing her yoga teacher training. So holding the healing space of a yin class, and offering hands-on healing touch, came very naturally to her.
She has been practicing energy medicine for over 15 years, and before that, was an exercise physiologist. Additionally, she holds a master's and bachelors degree in exercise physiology, and has scientific journal publications in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, and Experimental Diabetes Research, for her master's thesis research.
Her intention in guiding teachers is to allow the blossoming of your unique medicine as a guide and space holder.
Jouliana Tabbakh, RYT - 500
With over eight years of teaching experience, Jouliana walks the path of yoga as a devoted practitioner. Her journey truly started when Yin Yoga called her into the quiet power of stillness—where she experienced a profound return to self.
Rooted in the belief that stillness is alive with wisdom, her teachings weave together Yin Yoga, breath, and subtle energy awareness. She creates spaces that invite students inward—beyond the physical, into the heart, the body’s intelligence, and the truth within.
As a teacher trainer, Jouliana aims to guide others not only in learning yoga, but in embodying it. Her work empowers students to reconnect with their inner spark, remember who they are, and step into their own voice as grounded, intuitive leaders.
Yin Student Testimonials
"I have been going to Elli's Sunday night yin classes for years. I value that she offers a total approach to yin targeting multiple senses. She also has a magical way of using her aura to transform the studio into an energy field facilitating healing and restoration. Her classes always practice by candlelight and regularly incorporate scents and live sounds. Her posture series are complimentary and offered in gentle language, which is clear and precise. Meanwhile, she is a model of consistency; week after week, she is always present with a capital "P" patient and in good humor. I highly recommend this experience."

“Elli’s Yin yoga class is a must experience. The environment she creates is perfect to get the most out of the practice. Her presence provides a perfect calm energy to the space and she is super intuitive about what the class energy is throughout, as well as what support is needed individually.”
-Keith B. Sammamish, WA
“Sinking into my body to discover inner peace is my experience with Yin yoga led by Elli. Entering into her class with the outside world of demands and pressure quickly dissipate as she begins her class. Her voice encourages me to silence the mental chatter. Her gentle guidance reminds me to ease into my body, not pushing or judging. I am surprised when I hear “if there are any other moves your body needs before savanna…” How could the class already be done: It’s like getting a massage and I wish for more time. When we conclude with a collective Om, I am filled with appreciation to my teacher and my body for this precious gift.”
-Kim G. - Psychotherapist, Sammamish, WA
“Elli’s yin classes create a safe place to let go. She is soft, receptive, hands-on and accepting of your space emotionally and physically. Through this openness and attentiveness her presence and classes are healing. Healing to the body, mind and spirit. I highly recommend her classes.”
-Ingrid J. Marriage and Family therapist
“Elli’s yin classes are penciled into my schedule as dates with my soul! Her hands-on work with students as well as guided meditations have helped me cultivate a sense of non-violence and compassion, or ahimsa, toward myself. Elli’s presence in and of itself is healing, and she is adored by her students. I wouldn’t trade 6:30pm on Sundays for anything!”

"Jouliana, you have such a rare gift as a teacher. The way you move through a class is so intuitive and the pace always feels exactly right, like you're somehow speaking directly to me even in a full room. I always leave your classes feeling rejuvinated and centered. and that's something truly special. You're the real deal.
- Jeannette, Kailua-Kona, HI
"I absolutely love Jouliana's yin yoga classes. She has such a gift of reading the energy of the room and tailoring the flow to the needs of the class in that moment. She has mastered the art of bridging the physical with the mental, emotional and spiritual alignment of a well designed flow. I always walk out of her classes feeling so grateful that I made it to yoga.
-Bayli P. Kailua-Kona, HI
"Jouliana is truly one of my favorite yoga teachers I've ever practiced with. She creates the most unique and special sequences that feel incredibly intentional and intuitive for the body. You can tell she deeply understands movement and how to guide students in a way that feels both grounding and expansive. Her gentle adjustments are beautiful and supportive, and every class feels like a thoughtfully curated experience rather than just another yoga class. There's something really special about the way she teaches - calming, connected, and deeply intuitive. I always leave feeling better physically, mentally, and emotionally. If you ever have the opportunity to take a class with Jouliana in Kona, don't miss it."

"Yoga is not a workout, it's a work in. And that is the point of spiritual practice; to make us teachable; to open up our hearts and focus our awareness so that we can know what we already know, and be who we already are."
